Meet J.D. Shields

John Douglas (J.D.) Shields is a Retirement Specialist, an Insurance Strategist, and a Real Estate Professional. He attended the University of Memphis where he studied a diverse curriculum and was inspired to pledge Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English degree from LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, TN. He attended graduate school at Clark Atlanta University where he studied African-American Literature. He also attended Oglethorpe University, Division of Continuing Education where he studied the Fundamentals of Financial Planning. He is the current CEO of J.D. Shields and Associates, LLC and has been a trusted and reliable source of knowledge in the financial services business for over 30 years. J.D. is a board member of Tuskegee Seeds of Greatness, an organization dedicated to teaching financial literacy and expanding the legacies of Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, Julius, and Mary Gresham.

A "TopGun" producer with more than 500 active clients, J.D. utilizes his knowledge and expertise to educate, empower and guide his clients to positive solutions and ultimately financial independence. In the financial services business "Knowledge is Power", "Health is Wealth", and "Time is Money". He believes there is more opportunity to serve his clients by helping them avoid losses than by picking the winners. By helping his clients be more efficient, he can help them find the money necessary to create a predictable retirement.
